That meant No. 39's standing had to be demoted to the back of the field — and No. 23 would take their place.

"A win'southward a win, right?" he said.

"Simply this fashion of racing — It's such a loftier level, everything needs to be looked at. Any little fault can give a win, or take a win away. Evidently, this serial is very strict on their rules and their inspections."

"Information technology's also my outset win at this level," De Angelis said.

"I was ever an IndyCar fan, ever a sports auto racing fan," De Angelis said.
"I've been there for meetings and to sentinel friends race. Just for me to exist able to win it on my get-go whirl at information technology — that was quite the moment."
All that said, there'southward no room for sentimentality when you're behind the wheel and on the runway. De Angelis said that during the race, he was completely focused on competing.
"There's no margin for error," he explained. "Y'all don't really have fourth dimension to think about other things."
As for what's next for The Heart of Racing, De Angelis said the summer contest schedule will be keeping the squad extremely busy: They're heading to New York land for ii weekends at Watkins Glen International race track later this month.
